Does your home live up to the narrative of your life?

Let’s design its next chapter together.

Full-Service Interior Design

In a world full of endless options and comparison fatigue, having a designer navigate the design process with you from start to finish is like hiring an experienced tour guide before you embark on a big hike somewhere new. The goal is to land at a destination where the view is even better than you could’ve imagined—one you could’ve never found on your own. It’s a home that feels like you—just you looking and feeling your absolute best.

This process requires time, attention to detail, and trust. With a full-service approach, our team is able to uncover the needs and wants of every family member and then creatively and thoughtfully tackle them all. Collaboration is absolutely vital to the process, and we work alongside contractors and craftspeople to ensure the vision is executed with care and attention at every step along the way. It’s a magical experience to transform a home, and we find it wildly addicting and fun (more fun in interiors, please)!

While we love projects of all scales and scopes, our ideal projects allow for a complete approach to the spaces including finish, fixture, and furniture selections. But we always leave a little extra room in our schedule for projects of smaller scale that allow for creative freedom.

Full-Service Process

  • After we review a client’s completed questionnaire, we’ll hop on a short Zoom call to learn about the project, budget, and overall design goals to determine if we’re a good fit for each other.

  • We’ll meet at the client’s project to see the space, take photos and measurements, and chat in person. After the consultation, the client receives a detailed scope of work for design services including project management offerings, communication expectations, potential timeline and sample budgets.

  • Once a contract is signed, we’ll begin the exciting exploration phase where we gather any inspiration and ideas from the client, discuss lifestyle goals, and project expectations. It’s a collaborative process, and nothing is more satisfying for us than creating a space that genuinely reflect our clients’ life stories. If the project includes a renovation, we’ll prioritize getting any floor plans, elevations, and material selections over to the appropriate trades for an accurate renovation scope.

  • We’ll share floor plans, elevations, fabric and finish samples, and an itemized purchases proposal. Every element will be carefully selected for its function, quality, and value. We’ll offer 3D renderings to help you visualize your new space and revisions are built-in to the design process. We love client feedback and are always open to amending the design to be exactly what you envisioned.

  • We’ll work closely with contractors and tradespeople to bring the project to life. The purchasing process can take anywhere from 6-12 months, and during that time, we keep the client informed on what to expect and provide regular updates along the way. And the more the client trusts the design process, the happier the client will be with the results.

  • We oversee deliveries and installations, move in furniture and style the space to bring the full vision to life. It’s the most magical experience to see it all come together at once, and sharing the finished space with a client is always thrilling.

Virtual Design

While we’re prioritizing full-service projects at this time, we also understand that smaller design challenges can be tackled in a phone call! Jourdan started offering this service in early Covid, and it’s the perfect way to get her expert take on small design challenges such as color palette decisions, a furniture layout that won’t seem to flow, or wallpaper or lighting selections.

The cost includes an 1-2 hours of prep time, during which Jourdan will evaluate the space and its challenges and compile ideas to present in the call. During the call, another team member will take notes on all that’s discussed, and then within one week’s time, Jourdan’s team will share a follow-up email with links or images discussed in the call.

Virtual design spots will be released a month at a time depending on demand, and payment will need to be made upon booking. After payment is received, you’ll receive a questionnaire to fill out within one week of booking so Jourdan has plenty of time to prepare for the call.

*Please note: This is not a full e-design service, so floor plans and room mock-ups are not included.

FAQ

  • My goal is to make your home look and feel like the most stylish, comfortable, cozy version of your life. Depending on the goal of your project, I partner with other professionals (contractors, architects, artisans) to bring the vision to life. My hope is to take the stress out of the design process.

  • The most important thing to know is that working with an interior designer can be a rewarding, stress-reducing process. But it requires trust in the process and vision.

  • This is, of course, dependent on your project and scope of work, but you can anticipate paying an hourly rate for design and project management fees, as well as the standard industry markups on furniture purchased wholesale and/or antiques.

  • All details are presented to you with examples, samples, floor plans and 3-D renderings when necessary. But no need to worry — revisions are built-in to the design process. We love client feedback and are always open to amending the design so it meets your desired outcome.

  • Every single project is different, and good design takes time (especially when custom pieces are involved). It’s always helpful to reach out as soon as possible to more accurate timing.

  • Right now we’re focused on full-service projects in central North Carolina. But virtual design sessions are great for long-distance (and we’re also open to future traveling for the right job).
